Give Death Wish another try - I swear by the canned version. I drink a half a can a day along with any other quality coffee. And I wonder why I have some insomnia.
My all time hands down coffee is Allegro Cold Brew: Whole foods had a coffee bar (pre-COVID) and would sell it pre-bottled for about $3 for 16oz.
It would totally get me together: I would feel invincible on it. <<< Read: one extra sip too many and I'd be a real beotch.
I go by how I feel after drinking a particular and all on the list except Caribou only made me irritable and shaky.
Allegro is available in dry form but like many things for me, it's better when someone else makes it and bottles it.

What is really funny about Community Coffee is that you find the coffee in white tablecloth restaurants as well as nearly every convenience store in Louisiana.

My favorites in no particular order:

Community Coffee
San Francisco Bay Coffee (Rogers Family)
Lavazzas
Peets
Don Francisco

I brew Peet’s every morning. Used to have an actual Peet’s Coffee & Tea shop near my house, but it closed.

I like to blend my own beans, using equal parts of Starbucks Verandah Blend (light roast), Ethiopian Yerghecheffe medium and dark roasts. Gives me the morning "jolt" I need.

On the list, I would say Illy, Peet’s, and Lavazza are my favorites. Although I never go, I think my gym serves Peet’s and I do hit up the Peet’s in my town or one of the adjacent towns somewhat regularly.

Otherwise, I would say that the La Colombe draft latte is my favorite cold brew. I will need to see if the peppermint mocha flavor is out yet- that was a fantastic treat when I found it last year. The regular cold brew is a little cheaper than other brands, so I only get it when it is on sale. It is my go to cold brew brand though.

I like all coffee - I don't care for it being made incorrectly, and thus, bitter or weak.
And it's gotta be Organic! My gosh, what other countries are allowed to use in the soil!

Funny story: My mom tried every coffee back in the day, think 60s-90s...she loved her coffee!
(I freshly grind mine and do a French Press.)
So in around 1996 visiting her, she offers me coffee, (great, always from a can)!
She makes me some Yuban, It was really good!
Out of all the ground coffee cans...like Maxwell House, etc...this is the one she chose after decades of coffee.
I still have her last coffee I made her with Handi Wrap over it...May 7, 2009.
She was so happy I offered some, didn't finish it all...then, she passed away peacefully in her sleep at 88, 17 hours later.
Take away from story?: Handi Wrap is remarkable.

I am not buying that Folgers is ahead of arabica coffees like Peets or Seattles best. Or McCafe. Myself I buy Trader Joe's. Its still $4.99 a bag and I think it tastes terrific.

Best way to brew for me is a japanese pour over method. Seems to get the best out of my brew.

Where is Sanka? Did they quit making it? Man I am old!
Oh, man, I am old, too. I remember Sanka; drank (rather, choked down) ONE cup in my lifetime. Totally a bottom of the barrel product; so bad, that it didn't make the cut in this thread.
Our favorite in the House of Puss? Caribou's Mocha Java. Pure liquid silk!

I'd been a fan of Eight O'Clock coffee for years, but lately it doesn't taste the same. I suspect, like everything else, the quality has been lowered in order to prevent a price hike. I don't know.

At the suggestion of a neighbor, I tried a bag of Starbuck's Sumatra last week. Wow! You know you're drinking coffee when you drink that - hearty, bold, intense. It instantly became my new brand even though it's around $3 more per bag than the Eight O'Clock.

I usually take my coffee with cream, but I enjoy it black too. No sugar for me.

What's your favorite coffee? Is it on the list?

Very important to notate when discussing "coffee". Coffee should be in my opinion compared unaltered, not diluted by a third or more with creamer and a few teaspoons of sweetener. Those who rail about Starbucks for instance being burnt or bitter, clearly don't have the palate for drinking coffee. A good roasted coffee will have depth of flavor that includes bitterness, smokiness and some acidity.

I used to buy and grind my own coffee beans. It was fun. I'd mix the beans and strengths according to my preference for that day.

Can anyone recommend a really good decaf? I've tried many. The only one I liked was Door County Decaf Cherry Creme, but I'm not usually in the mood for a flavored coffee.
