sounds disgusting to me.

Those looking to wash down their holiday cookies this season may have a new option with Pilk — a milk-and-Pepsi combo. And WTOP staffers gave it a try, so you can figure out whether you should incorporate it into your holiday.

Pilk, which PepsiCo assures “pairs perfectly with cookies,” is also known as a “dirty soda,” or a soda spiked with cream and flavored syrups or fruit juices. The concoction has been trending on TikTok and other social media platforms after PepsiCo launched a #PilkandCookies Holiday Challenge — they’re inviting U.S. residents to share a photo or video of their treat on Instagram, Twitter or TikTok with the #PilkandCookies and #Sweepstakes hashtags and the Pepsi account followed.

Ever watch Laverne and Shirly on TV? Nothing new there. I thought it sounded disgusting back then too, until I realized that basically it's just a melted ice cream float, sorta, kinda, well close anyway.... I'd give it a shot at least once.

The best to judge it (or any food or drink) is not by the name or look, but by giving it a try.

I can't have dairy and I don't drink soda, so I probably wouldn't try it. But I do remember Shirley drinking this, and I used to love root beer floats, so it doesn't sound disgusting.

You've never had a root beer float? Soda and milk, basically.

Nothing unusual about soda and dairy product together.

I would not drink it myself. Carbonation + some lactose intolerance + phosphoric acid = GAS, bloating, ugh.

My FIL drinks milk with a shot of his maple syrup. It is probably not very good for him. However, he will be 90 in a couple of months and says it gives him the energy to stack a half cord of wood.

Hell I can't do that at half his age!
