Saw a YouTube video of people tasting durian fruit snacks and the fruit itself. Looked up durian fruit and it’s a super food but most people can’t get past the smell and taste. Got me thinking about very healthy fruits and vegetables. What are some you absolutely enjoy and some you just can’t stomach the taste no matter how healthy it may be?
I tried and can’t stand asparagus. Another I don’t like is cucumber and pickles. Do love sweet potatoes, yams, nuts, and most traditional fruits.
Everyone in my family of three enjoys durian. The smell is very strong but not offensive IMO. It's also variable, depending upon what particular cultivar you have. I can imagine overripe fruits with a strong odor could be disagreeable.
It's the most caloric fruit of all, more so than avocado for instance.
Durians are very rich, intense and delicious, earning it the title "King of fruits". Second best fruit is Cempedak, but it's got to be a good cultivar from SE Asia.
Can't think of any fruits or veggies that I don't like. Oh, here's one: The noni fruit. It's nasty.
".The fresh fruit's strong, vomit-like odor has made it a famine food in most regions.." Wiki
I have never met a fruit or veg I do not like. I love them all, but have never seen or had Durian. I don't think it is available where I live, well at least not in the mainstream markets
I’m ok with okra if not cooked in a way that makes it slimy. I actually like beets. What I don’t like about beets is it changes the color of my urine if I eat them too frequently. I’m not big on pineapple mostly because of the fibers of fresh pineapple getting stuck in my tightly packed teeth. It’s also why I can’t handle berries with tiny seeds like blackberries and raspberries.

The only vegetable/fruit I’m not fond of is eggplant. I enjoy eating a lot of vegetables and fruits and attribute this diet with my relatively healthy cholesterol levels.
I also enjoy eating unsalted nuts, especially almonds and walnuts.

I love eggplant if cooked right. Sadly my favorite is fried which negates the health benefits. The other way I enjoy eggplant is oven roasted I’ve had the oven roasted version straight on a plate or on a pizza or in a lasagna. I’m not a vegan nor vegetarian but I can enjoy a vegetarian pizza. Of course the best eggplant pizza I had was in Gaeta Italy when I was stationed there.
Love all veggies...especially broccoli, have it almost every day. Fruits, I can take or leave. I do have 3-4 avacados a week, just for health benefits.
