I did a turkey breast on the Weber; cornbread dressing muffins; green beans; sweet potatoes; cranberry relish; gravy. We kept it pretty simple this year since all the kids are living in other states now.

Worked up an appetite with an absolutely beautiful hike in the southern Berkshires on this beautiful sunny day.. The best Thanksgiving in a long time.. I feel the gratitude in my bones today. (My menu is in a post earlier in this thread, just to stay OT) :-)

Now that all is said and done, how did everything turn out?
My husband of 44 years said, “you know, I’ve never liked sweet potatoes.” Jeeze, if he’d told be 44 years ago, it would have saved me some trouble.

It was fine, but unless I have family coming, I’m not cooking anymore. I’ve paid my dues.

Husband liked the oyster stuffing but said it was his favorite. Even though we both like raw oysters he said I probably would not like the oyster stuffing. I did not try it because I ate my mom's stuffing instead. It had a fresh seafood aroma to it.
