I recently moved and things are quiet downed enough to try something new, so I went hog wild and baked a peach pie today. Of all the pies I've baked, never tried peach until now.

If I do say so myself it is gooood. Nice and juicy and delicious. Succulent, that's the word.

The recipe suggested putting unsalted almonds at the bottom. I'd never heard of this before, but I'm game so put them in. The only reason I can see for it is it adds some crunchiness to the finished product.

Also, dried cherries (which I had heard of) and they make a nice addition of tartness. Sprinkled in a bit of cinnamon, too.

The house smells great now. Wish y'all could have some!
