Hi C-D foodies! Long time no post here. Still on vacation. Now in San Diego with good friends. Just heading out to Costco, where we'll have "lunch" there. Sampling.

I love Costco. How I wish Oz had Costco. Even better, I wish I lived in San Diego.

How do you prepare kohlrabi and what does it taste like?

I found some leftover mashed potatoes. I stirred in a little mayo, some chopped green olives, parmesan cheese and granulated garlic, and made a nice little potato salad. I always make enough mashed potatoes to have leftovers.

The boss bought us all box lunches today. Had 1/2 ham sandwich, fruit, and a little potato salad. The brownie is still staring at me.

Nice boss Debsi.

We slice it and eat it raw, tastes kind of like cabbage heart. Others fry it like potatoes, boil or steam it, some mash it like potatoes. Raised eating it raw so that is what my family prefers. 3 summers ago I made it a bunch of different ways we all decided raw was best. I cut it up in salad too but I was out of it today. Easy above ground veggies to raise for a yearly treat.
