What?!?!?!?! Totally passive cooking. You could even do them in a slow cooker or pressure cooker. Put in, add veggies and seasonings, and walk away.

Try my slow cooker braised short rib recipe I posted in the recipe forum a while back. The prep time is minimal, and it tastes like it was cooked in a Dutch oven.

Anything deep fried. I never make it at home. I don't like the mess, the lingering smells, the disposal of used oil, etc.

Homemade calamari. I made it once and it turned out amazing (they didn't smell "off" after frying), and so much cheaper than a restaurant. However, it stunk to high heaven when I was preparing the tubes!

Same here. I have not fried chicken at home in a long time. I do not fry enough to make it worthwhile purchasing all of the oil.

I have an excellent home style fried chicken place in my neighborhood that makes frying up chicken at home unnecessary, anyway.
