Default Oatmeal Stout

I like Samuel Smith's but I'm on a bit of a budget right now. I saw that Goose Island (Chicago I think) had a version of this delightful brew but I was wondering if it was worth getting...?

goose island does a nice beer, so i would encourage giving the oatmeal stout a try. my husband is a homebrewer and enjoys what goose island puts out.

I used to live a few blocks from the Goose Island Brewery, they make some good stuff. I usually drink the stout in fall/winter though.

Look into homebrewing. We do it and have brewed many different types including oatmeal stout which came out great - it may seem at first to be an expensive hobby but once you have your basic tools, you just buy the ingredients (which have also along with food prices have gone up) but we figured it out to still be less than beer you buy in the store and you make it yourself!

Not only less andrea, but like a good homecooked meal being bettert han anything you can buy, a good homebrew is also better than anything you can buy. There isnt much more pleasureable than having a Steak on the grill and a homebrew in your hand!

I would try the Stone 10th Anniversary Oatmeal Stout. It is outstanding.
