Talking The City with the best BBQ

LOL, I love doing these types of polls. Which style barbeque do you like the best?

You know, I might just have to take a trip to Kansas City to see what all the hype is about. I've had "southern" 'cue and Memphis style, but I still love the smokiness and meatiness of Texas 'cue. I don't care for the southern style at all. I think we tried almost every joint in Memphis while we stayed there for 2 months, and while I still preferred Texas BBQ, we had some darn good memphis 'cue! But I can't say that I've ever had Kansas City BBQ.

Kansas City. Didn't we see this same subject for a Poll just a few weeks ago?

Default woodbridge, va

the best barbeque in America is at Dixie Bones barbeque in Woodbridge, VA. Right near I-95. Delicous Alabama style BBQ. Anyone else been there?

I'd have to say Memphis, although K.C. certainly is something I favored. In fact, I would probably have to say Memphis is the best because K.C. barbeque got to the way it is today because a man from Memphis brought Memphis style barbeque to the Midwest and then modified the bbq sauce there and started Arthur Bryant's, which was the beginning of KC style barbeque. Both St. Louis and Kansas City, along with Chicago, owe their barbeque to migrants from Memphis and the South. I really like Tennessee and North Carolina style barbeque. Nashville should be on this list for sure as well as Memphis.

I agree.
What is 'GA-style BBQ'? I've lived here my whole life and never heard of such a thing.

Chicago has its fair share of southern-inspired barbecue traditions, tweaked to make them our own. However, Chicago-style ribs are strictly a Chicago invention. They're pretty weird and pretty much considered disgusting by anyone and everyone who lives south of Springfield.
