How come we need to buy water filter to get the water cleaned so we could drink them, plus water machine cooler here in USA? In Sweden, the water was 100% cleaned and filtered everywhere, no need to buy filter, water chill machine, or bottle of water. They were for free and cleaned even in bathroom sinks! So I could just drink water from any sinks without filter. Even the water we took showers on were cleaned and could drink from it! The water in Sweden taste so good!!
Why isn't it the same here in the U.S? I know it's many countries that need to buy filter or water to drink.
Which states has the cleanest/best test of water? (Without filter)

Reason: Moved from General US.
Actually it is a good idea to filter your water even if it comes from a well on your own property. I use a Berkey Light when I am in a house but currently while I am in an apartment I use a Britta unit.
Yes, Chlorine is added in some water districts to kill bacteria. And in others they add Fluoride too. If I recall correctly and this law may have changed but at one time every water provider that had at least 5,000 customers had to chlorinate their water. That may only be a law in Connecticut though because I recall hearing it while I lived there.
Many smaller water districts don't add chlorine or Fluoride and you can really taste the difference. You can get rid of the odor and taste by simply putting your water in say a quart container (sorry I ain't using Metric) and then leaving it uncovered for about 24 hours so that the chlorine will dissipate. No taste or smell afterward.
Swedes don't buy bottled water or use water filters? That is absurd. I've been to Sweden, and my brother lived in Sweden for 2 years. If Swedes don't buy bottled water, then who's buying all those bottles of water in Swedish grocery stores?
I filter my water because I don't like drinking water with chlorine in it. But up at my cabin in the mountains I don't filter the spring water because it's pure, ice cold and tastes fantastic.
Here in Wisconsin we have Artesian Water and we don't add anything to it. We drink it right out of our wells. We even have bottling companys lease land here so they can sell the Artesian Water throughout the U.S.
I think that the Great Lakes water taste just fine. I've also heard the water down in Kentucky and Tennessee is pretty good.
Without filter, the water taste chlorine. In Sweden, without filter or anything, the water is cleaned and taste so good!
That's not correct. Water is water, whether you're in Sweden or America. We aren't a third world country.
