I find that mushrooms are very subtle, and frequently get lost in a recipe that has several other ingredients. I mostly just put them in scrambled eggs.
Yep! I do like mushrooms - especially the big Portobello ones that you can eat on a nice sandwich. My dad hates them, he says "anything that grows from poop will not touch my lips." LOL.
i am really not a fan of them. i had some last week in the dish they made for the Empty Bowls charity (in Fort Worth, TX), and it was so nasty. i almost throw up. i was like no ma'am! LOL

I've heard other people say that too. That mushrooms 'get lost' or "don't have flavor". What type of mushrooms are you eating?!
Except for white mushrooms, IMO every other mushroom has intense flavor.
On that note, I seriously adore mushrooms. They're wonderful and you can do so much with them! They're good raw, slow cooked, cooked quickly, pureed, in sauces, soups, and stews, on meat, on other vegetables. I can go on and on.
I love mushrooms but love them most in pizza and pasta.
