Or you could keep eating green leafy vegetables until you develop a taste for them. Wouldn't take very long. I assure you that if you were starving, you would be grateful to the person who handed you a spinach salad.
Smoothies do not provide the same roughage and fiber content if you just simply ate the whole vegetable. Your body gains benefits, like cleaning your colon, from having to work to break down larger forms of vegetables that haven't been pureed. You're priming yourself for conditions like ulcerative colitis or irritable bowel syndrome by not eating any veggies or foods with fiber. Talk to anyone who has those conditions, it is awful.
My husband's uncle pretty much never ate fruits or veggies. He died of esophageal cancer, which is linked to not consuming enough fruits and veggies (fiber).
Pretty much scared the crap out of my hubby, now he eats his veggies and doesn't complain lol.
People who don't like veggies IMO need to keep trying them different ways. ALSO if you improperly cook veggies they won't taste good. Basically if your veggies turned grey you overcooked them
What you eat is a choice. Eat vegetables, or don't eat them, nobody cares. To say, "I don't like vegetables" , makes you sound like a 3 year old. Grown ups eat vegetables.
You can find ways of making them more palatable to you if you choose to.

I just discovered that fennel, a vegetable I have avoided for years because of its taste, is delicious when roasted. Green beans are one of my favorite vegetables steamed or boiled, but roasting them until slightly charred turns them into little flavor bombs.
Well...the title says it all. I hate vegetables and hardly eat them (unless they're in my hamburger ). I've tried to include them in my diet before but couldn't keep at it for long. My doctor asked me if I ate any fruits or vegetables...I said no...she scolded me and said by the time I'm 30 I'll look like I'm 40! Is that true?? .
Unless you are VERY genetically lucky, yes.

Even so, I can't get myself to eat them. Are there any good substitute supplements that will give me all the nutritional benefits found in fruits and vegetables?
