I actually like Emeril...yeah maybe he could tone down the Bam! and throwing garlic into everything except desserts, but I still wouldn't mind seeing his show live in NYC.
Paula Deen-she's OK I guess, but her food's awesome...loads of butter, cream, sugar, etc...who doesn't like that stuff?

Rachael Ray's my LF...I find her endorsement of caffiene-laden Dunkin' Donuts coffee highly ironic. RAH! RAH! SIS-BOOM-BAH!!!....you get the idea.

Know who I miss seeing on TV? The oriental cook who said "If Wan can cook, so can you!" He was great with the knife action.

Do you mean Martin Yan? Of Yan Can Cook? I liked his show too, back when most of the cooking shows were on public television and they're wasn't a Food Channel on cable.

YanCanCook.com - The Official Website of Chef Martin Yan

My favorite personality on the Food Network is Ellie Krieger. I love that she makes healthy recipes and keeps it simple.

My absolute least favorite is Sandra Lee. I thinks she is horrid - I have to change the channel when she comes one.

Love Ellie and her website is fantastic.

Sandra is awful-about as awful as RR.

Cannot stomach Rachael Ray or Paula Deen the food is lost behind their obnoxious personalities...
I enjoy Ina Garten, Guy Fieri and Bobby Flay

I like Alton Brown, Emeril, Bobby Flay, as long as they are cooking something! I hope Food TV does not take the MTV route.

For food travelers I like Anthony Bourdan, and maybe Guy Fieri since he goes to interesting places. Food Network can scrap all the other half ass travel shows with Rachel, Giada, Nealys, Paula Deen's kids, and so forth.

Honorable mention goes to America's test kitchen team. I like most of them.

As a random thought: Spain on the road again is decent with two flaws 1) They talk too much in some episodes. Just get to the food 2) I dont care to see any of the hosts cooking when they are in Spain. Leave that to the chefs please

Agree with Spain on the Road.

Was just watching a Paula Deen and she made lasagne-but the topper is the woman ate a lasange sandwich on garlic bread. Lord she's lost her class!!

Oh, man...I was flipping channels one day and caught Paula making a cream of Portobella mushroom soup and it actually looked good (I'm NOT a fan of her cooking), and then she ruined it by putting a bunch of sour cream, cheese, and bacon on top! WTF? It's not a baked potato!

I think Paula's food usually looks awful. My wife and I ate at her tourist-trap restaurant in Savannah and it was pretty mediocre. My chicken was good, but not significantly better than the grocery deli down the street (which has really good chicken for a grocery store, but still), and my wife's crabcakes were so terribly overseasoned they were almost inedible. Paula is an interesting person, but her food isn't my style.

My sis-in-law went to her restaurant last year and was not impressed at all with the food-as you said it was mediocre at best.
