I admit Rachel Ray has grown on me since i learned some things about her and it sounds like she is a genuinely nice person.
The guy on pbs I couldn't think of and don't like is not Alton Brown as someone suggested. It is a guy named Chris who wears round eyeglasses and a weenie bow tie.

I can't stand Rachel Ray, Sandra Lee, Bobby Flay, Paula Deen or the wife from Down Home with the Neeley's.
I don't like Emeril's personality but every dish I made from him has turned out fantastic.
I love Nigella Lawson, Anthony Bourdain, Jamie Oliver, Alton Brown, Tyler Florence, Duff from Ace of Cakes, and Guy whatever his last name is.

I can't think of Chris's name either but the show is America's Test Kitchen (I think).

I hope most of you don't think Paula Deen represents the typical southern cook. I love good southern cooking, but there's no way I would use as much butter, grease, and heavy cream as she does.

Paula Deen, her brother Bubba amd her son Jamie are turn offs to me in the kitchen.
I know she's not representative of the genteel southerners I know and love.

It's Christopher Kimball - and he is the owner of everything so he gets to put his annoying mug in front of us on that show. What an annoying, whiny voice he has too - just goes to prove - just because you can create a culinary empire doesn't automatically mean you can be a TV personality.

Alton Brown is just too silly, but he gives some good cooking/food info. I tried his suggestion for heating king crab in the microwave, and he's right on in that suggestion.
Sandra Brown goes beyond "not so favorite" to just can't stand. She is more interested in her table scapes and matching curtains than cooking something that tastes good. I do, however, use her sauce for orange beef when I cook orange chicken.
I use some of Paula's recipes, but she has absolutely lost it lately, especially with Paula's Party. I think she even embarrasses her kids sometimes.
I like Ina, Giada, Sara Moulton, and Emeril.
