We don't get nearly the amount of kids here in Delaware as we did in Philly. It seems that many families here just don't believe in celebrating Halloween. I give out juice boxes instead of candy and they are always a big hit. For the kids that do come around, many say that they time our house so that they are thirsty when they get here.

SXM, what a great idea! I moved this year and have no idea what people will do in the neighborhood. Time to start finding out!

We always get about 100 kids. Last year I bought a bag of the cheaper mix type candy and also gave out boxes of Cracker Jack with it. Amazon had a good deal. I think I bought 100 boxes for under $30.

Unfortunately, homemade treats are no longer an option.

The DW always goes with what is cheap.

I go with the 1-2 oz bars. For the kids I know, maybe the large bars.

My neighbor in Cleveland used to hand out cans of beer ... for the parents.

I don't hand out candy for Halloween because I am out taking my kids trick-or-treating.

I will be looking for bags of cheap candy so I can use what I don't give out for our Gingerbread Houses decorations at Christmas. I don't mind the little kids in costume coming around but the teens with pillowcases really tick me off.

We do a "trunk or treat" at our church. I am thinking licorice. I am not fond of it...so...the kids will get plenty.
