How do you make yours?
I have a theory that the more you try to "improve" them with higher quality ingredients the more likely you are to ruin them.

I use...
6 cheapo English muffins (like Publix brand)
Crisco
1 can tomato paste
oregano
garlic powder
grated cheese
pepperoni or salami (optional)

Bake at 375 for about 15 minutes

Olive Cheese Bread. | The Pioneer Woman Cooks | Ree Drummond

I used to make a big bowl of this and let the kids make their own English muffin olive pizzas.

I lightly toast the split muffins, spread with spaghetti/pizza sauce, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella, top with pepperoni and bake until bubbly. I toast them first so the muffin doesn't get all soggy. This is dinner in a flash at our house when we are in a hurry. Works just fine in the toaster oven too.

^^^ That's the way!

Here's some of mine, just cheese, sauce and oregano on this batch.

I pre-toast mine on a cookie sheet in the oven before topping them and ptting them back into the hot oven. If you don't pre-toast them, they will not be great!

We used to have it sometimes when our kids were young and we would have another family over for dinner. We would set out lots of pizza choices, toast the muffins first and then let everyone do their own thing. I did this not to long ago with my bridge gals. Boy what fun. I set out, a tomato paste spread with the italian spices mixed in: onions, pepparoni, salami, chopped peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives and a couple of cheeses...We felt like we were back in school and I will not even tell you how many years ago we all got out of highschool. I am the oldest in the group, but not by much...
