Well, here we are in football season. Can I get a "rah" or a "go team?"
What are your favorites? There's got to be lots of variety out there in this big old country. I like hot dogs and nachos, and hot cocoa on a cool night. Not necessarily all at the same time.
Anything they're only doing in your neck of the woods? I've heard Philly stadiums have Philly steaks. Makes sense to me.
There is something about being at a game that makes everthing taste better. It must be the magical aura of stadium food!
I haven't been to a football game in eons and eons. But, my favorite stadium food is a soft pretzel with the cheap yellow mustard. That's the only time I like that mustard, too. But, I really like Philly Cheesesteaks and live in the west, so I'd totally go for one of those ... in a stadium or otherwise.
The only time I've had stadium food was way back in the 60's in the downtown tiger stadium. The ball park hot dog was good. I've often wondered why they didn't taste that good at home? Was it the event? Or is there another grade of hot dog that the stores don't get? Who knows?

I doubt the dogs of the 60's were made with partially defatted fatty tissue and mechanically separated "stuff" that is packed into the dogs here in the future
I've been to two Philly's games, an Eagles game, a Penn State game and two Ray's games...and, I don't even like sports. We always tailgated...WAAAAYYY better than any stadium vendor's food!!! Okay, except for maybe the big pretzel.
Well, hockey season is starting as well and we have season tix to The Stars. They actually have a REAL Fletchers Corny Dog at the AAC here in Dallas (home of Fletchers at the State Fair of Texas) so they are made fresh on the spot. Only time I eat them. I also like the nachos. For hockey AND football when it is cold I do get some Hot Chocolate.
At our high school stadiums here in our district they have a Stadium Apple that is AWESOME! It is an apple sliced and cored put in a bowl, topped w/ hot caramel, sprinkled w/ walnuts. YUM!!!!
Food and movies and baseball, some of my favorite subjects. When someone brings up hot dogs I am always reminded of this exchange in the movie 2010. Two scientists, American Heywood Floyd, and Russian Walter Curnow discuss hot dogs as they approach an abandoned space ship orbiting Jupiter...
Heywood Floyd: I'd love a hot dog.
Walter Curnow: Astrodome. Good hot dogs there.
Heywood Floyd: Astrodome? You can't grow a good hot dog indoors. Yankee Stadium. September. The hot dogs have been boiling since opening day in April. Now that's a hot dog.
Walter Curnow: The yellow mustard or the darker kind?
Heywood Floyd: The darker kind.
Walter Curnow: Very important.
I have been only time in your baseball stadium and It has been an incredible experience!
It's great!
I have ate in Arlington Stadium, a delicious nachos and coca cola
