I agree!

Shrimp cocktail is nice too...no fuss either.

I think when serving a variety of dips, it's nice to provide little cups so that guests can take some and sit down, instead of hovering over the dip bowl.

A fun "fall" dessert I have had is a pampered chef recipe...

I think it is a carmel ,apple "pizza". It was really good! I think there was also peanut butter on top.

Both great ideas.

If you have a bread machine, freshly baked bread with spinach or crab dip is always good, too.

All great ideas! I make a "krab" dip that is always a hit: mix 1 brick of lowfat cream cheese (I use the neuf.... one - can't spell it!) with a package of the fake krab shredded, and four or five green onions thinly sliced. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and mix. Spread into a pie plate and then top with a thin layer of spicy cocktail sauce.

You can alway do chips and guac or 7 layer dip....I like to make crab rangoons too. Allrecipes.com is a great resource

Well, I am making a list and will be putting much of what was discussed on it. I have a very large Island in my kitchen (it is great for parties- and envied by many ) which will be filled- that is just how I am when I entertain... I gotta feed the people who come to my house... I think it is one of the things I have picked up from my Italian MIL.... Mangia! Mangia! Mangia! And all of my friends know it... which is really funny actually (they don't eat dinner when they come LOL)

Whenever I get together with girls, I like to serve cool veggie pizza, you know, one of those Pampered Chef recipes. You can make ahead and they are great finger foods. Everyone seems to like it a lot.

Do you make that?? or buy it? Sounds good... and easy... and GOOD!!!! LOL...
I find it bottled at the local farmers market. I've heard that you can find it at the bigger super markets.
