I gave up on Apricots, some Peaches, Plums and Grapes....
I did not buy the cheap stuff at Wal-mart due to the very very poor quality.

Sure miss some good fruit...

I wouldn't buy grapes and strawberries, etc. if they were high because they were usually less at a competing store and the fruit seemed to rotate being on sale.

I wholeheartedly agree with WalMart produce being of very poor quality. I never buy produce from them anymore.

Strawberries, peaches and grapes. I bought exactly one bag of peaches this year and they were terrible so I just couldn't see wasting the money on anymore. I also didn't buy a whole lot of strawberries either, just couldn't justify the price for them. The price of grapes here was pretty expensive this past summer as well.

Wal-Marts here don't carry fruits and veggies. I always felt cheated about that, then my step-mother told me their fruits and veggies are terrible anyway.

But as for the original question, there were a number of fruits I avoided this summer, unless it was on sale. Farmer's Markets around here are just as expensive if not more than the grocery store. I mostly avoided peaches, grapes, and raspberries. My youngest is 4 though, so I still try to buy fresh fruits wherever possible, I just try to hit the sales.

Apricots and Cherries.

I caught a couple of really good sales on peaches, strawberries and grapes so I did get those a few times.
