Gotta be a loyal Little Missus and vote No to all of the above. HOWEVER I really am not a foodie so I could care less, honestly. I can eat ketchup on bread with parm sprinkled and call it pizza. Okay, I'm really not THAT bad. Well, maybe if it's good bread.

I don't need to "try it next time." I worked in a chain pizza joint for six years - I know how it works. Logistically, it would be impossible to take substandard dine-in pizzas and send them out as take-out pizzas.

Having said that, yes - there is a very noticeable difference between a pizza taken directly to the table and one that sits steaming in a cardboard box.

This thread was listed on the bottom of my screen so I clicked on it and replied. I can't say that I've ever looked at the date of any post. . If someone was wrong then and they're still wrong, then I'll reply.

oh that's fine. It is just we have had so many threads lately and in the past as well, discussing pizza. it just seemed strange to see this pop up and so few choices anyway. I too, many times reply to a thread that is old, then realize that didn't make much sense. But this one seems to have stirred a lot of interest even if the OP is long gone...

Every once and a while I'll get a craving for some terrible takeout pizza. Domino's is usually #1 for me... probably a remnant from my college days where I practically lived off their "3 x $5 deal".

Good point arjo. Sometimes there are other factors in play besides quality of product.

We have a "gourmet" McDonalds in my city that sells pizza. The sauce is very bitter, pretty much the opposite of the sweet Papa Johns sauce that I like. It takes too long to make, you have to deal with kids running around while you eat, but something in that sauce reminds me of the local pizza joint in my hometown. It doesn't happen often but when the mood strikes, I'll go there and be reminded of back home.

If you're not looking for a walk down memory lane though, I don't recommend it.

Either home-made or Papa-Murphy's (Take n' Bake), which was not an option in the poll.

None of the above, Boombozz in my area is currently my favorite.

They are all crap now but years ago I did like dominoes. I'd rather go to my local pizza parlor and get a real pie.
