Since just about everyone in America now has a bottle of water in their hand everywhere they go, almost as if it were a "fashion statement" of sorts, I was just curious as to what everyone's favorite brand of H20 was?
That's great to hear! I wish we city-dwellers had wells sometimes; I just don't trust the city tap water after hearing about the major giardia outbreaks of the 1980s in our region from tainted tap water consumption! We have a PUR water filter hooked up to the faucet, and I trust that very much. I used to continually refill the same bottle with that filtered tap water for day after day to keep myself refreshed at work until I learned that refilling a bottle for several days helps to breed bacteria and lead to potential illness! It seems like EVERYTHING can make you sick anymore! LOL!
We were spoiled in Denver--the tap water there is very good, if hard.
Here the tap water is very questionable, but I got sick of buying water so invested in a Britta filter pitcher.
But I've bought Danon and Deer Park in the past.
What I really like is just plain old seltzer, but I can't buy it here.

Not just Giardia, but cryptosporidium...another nasty bug. Also most municipal water supplies are fluoridated and/or have chlorine added to them.
As for your water bottle, just rinse it out in bleach water now and then or wash it in dishwashing liquid. It should be ok.
Kirkland Signature - Costco brand. I also have Sparkletts delivery for the cooler but am canceling it being that we now use our filter on the fridge and our bottled water comes from Costco.
I buy lots of bottled water because New York City tap water is crappy, and getting even crappier by the minute. So much chlorine it tastes like the municipal swimming pool! (Do not believe the hype about our tap water being good, because it's a lie).
I don't care for brands, just want bottled water at a cheap price. Ideally it should be spring water- purified is a stupid thing to do. So I get a 24-bottle pack of Poland Spring or Aquafina (yes, purified, sadly) for $5.50 at the corner gas station and I'm happy.
I'm cheap, I buy a bottle of Evian, drink it, and then fill it up with my tap water. I can carry it around and make my fashion statement.
