My husband loves using his food dehydrator for drying fruits. However, I'm trying to help out w/ the time and mess of peeling, then slicing all that fruit. I saw an infomercial for some gadget that is electric, and quickly slices fruit. Is there such a thing that peels and slices fruit? Is it a food processer? And does anyone know a good brand to look for?

My apple slicer peels, cores and slices the apples. I got mine at Target, but I've heard the Pampered Chef one is good too.
