Smile Best grocery day ever!!!

I saved $211 last week! Shoppers had triple coupons up to .50 and double from .51 - 1.00. It took 5 hours to cut out ALL the coupons I had, sort them, decide which I wanted to use, which I didn't, write it all down (how much it was for, brand, # of items to buy, etc) and 4 hours to shop it all. Hubby met me there after work and was huffing and getting mad the whole time. Then you should have seen his face when they were ringing it up - he looked like he was gonna have an apocalyptic fit!

It rang up to $442 before coupons! After it was $230.57!!! He shut up then. I should upload pictures. My freezer is FULL, my cupboards are full! the only things I should need to buy before Jan are fresh veggies/fruits/6 gallons milk/eggs/3 loaves bread.

I'm jealous though that there are those of you for whom this is NOTHING and/or common.

Thanks. I had tons saved up b/c I'd been shopping at Aldi and Bottom Dollar, so I was buying generic. I can't use my printer right now b/c it's broken .

Congrats! I recently attended a couponing class held by our library. there were tons of good tips for combining the coupons and sales, internet coupons and store coupons. Also purchasing certain items to get the "$5 dollars off your next shopping trip" catalina coupons at the end. The last two trips I have saved over $130 each time and gotten at least $50 of coupons to use the later. It has been great. the website info from this class is available at supercouponing.com

That's the way to do it! My problem is that so many of the coupons are for items I don't buy and to buy them just to use the coupons only costs me money I don't need to spend. I think if you have a family it works so much better. For just my DH and myself not so much! But we still do use coupon every chance we can. It's just smart shopping! Good job Nicole!
