It’s not too early to start thinking about Christmas presents. Either gifts of food, or gifts related to food.

I have two grandchildren who have moved to college apartments this year. My grandson visited this summer and expressed an interest in cooking. I’m planning to give him a George Foreman grill and a cookbook for Christmas. My granddaughter is sharing an apartment with other girls too. I’m waiting for a clue from her mother for a gift for her, so I don’t duplicate something they have.

Apart from these things, I have heard that others have loved their gifts from QVC, etc. what have you received online that is a great gift?

I'm making Coquito (coconut eggnog) this year as gifts.

Gentlehearts, while the cookbook would be a good idea in any other circumstances, I would lean more towards a Publix/Kroger/Wegman's gift card. College age men are more likely to grill burgers or chicken breasts on the GF grill than whip up a casserole.

The Instant Pot is a great gift if they don't have one yet.

I have heard people like those. I wonder if it’s too complicated for cooking 101 though?

I plan on doing DIY therapy sack with rice and infuse them with essential oils . You can heat them in the microwave or put them in the freezer they are great for boo-boos or just general aches and pains and I plan on using a different essential oil for each friend I plan on giving them to .

I can't think of anything I've gotten as a gift from QVC, so I can't help you with that. However, I do have a suggestion that might work for you. If your grandchildren have Amazon accounts, they can set up a wish list of things that they'd like to have. You could ask them to do this so that you have ideas for things to get them and you'll know that you're getting them something they really want. Then it would be really easy for you to order the gift and have it sent to them. All you do it click on the link to the item and purchase it and have it mailed to them. A lot of places will even offer gift wrapping - of course, there's an additional charge for that, but it usually isn't very much.

The good thing about doing an Amazon wish list is that they can keep updating it and you could also use it for birthday gifts and gifts for other occasions.
