Do you listen to music when cooking? Or watch TV.
What kind of music?
Christmas Holiday music or ?
I like to have a background of a mix.
Happy trails,
HW

YEP! Kind depends on mood/food, could be anything from classic rock, jazz, classical, big band, whatever floats my boat at the time

I like to have country music on when I cook for some reason. Generally I'm a rocker type girl. Maybe cause I'm feeling traditional and self-sufficient when I cook..?

I am like burdell depends on what I am cooking or baking. No TV in the kitchen areas so I just listen to music. When making cookies and candies I like to listen to Christmas music when baking I like to listen to Christian. While cooking it just depends on what I am cooking, if anybody else is in the kitchen with me or if one of the kids had the music on "first".

The only TV in the house is in our bedroom, which would make it a little hard to listen to while cooking even if I wanted to.
I am passionately fond of classical music, primarily Baroque era composers, so that is my accompaniment of choice for almost any activity around the house. I do listen to Christmas music while doing holiday baking, but the Christmas music I choose is invariably very classical in nature - no Jingle Bells or Frosty the Snowman to be found in my collection.

I personally enjoy big band or jazz when I'm cooking.

I prefer talk radio in the kitchen while I'm doing my thing.

If the husband is home, we often have the TV on with news or the dreaded sports.
But if I am home alone,I love to have music on--usually a mix.
It might be my Play Loud mix, or maybe my Meditative Mix.
These days it's usually holiday music, everything from the Chieftains to James Brown to Bela Fleck.

It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I do something mellow like Kings of Convenience or sometimes I do something like my Lost Highway Soundtrack which has some hard stuff on it. Soundgarden, Tori Amos, NIN, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Isaac, Heart, The Doors, Patsy Cline....it all just depends.

Two of my favorite records to cook to:
Talk Show by the GoGos, and Boston, Mass., by the Del Fuegos.
