I have determined that I am obsessed with food -- shopping for food, looking at recipes and cookbooks, planning parties with different appetizers, reading food blogs, cooking, trying new things, etc.
I mean, even after I eat dinner and am full, my first thoughts are "what should we have tomorrow?" Anyone else feel this way??
Lucky for me, I don't look like I am obsessed with food I feel like the people around me might think I am a weirdo though!
That's the way I feel. I hate shopping but put me in a grocery store and I am like a kid in a candy store. I love food shopping. I also love reading cookbooks and copying recipes for "future us". Unfortunately I never seem to make all those recipes that I clip out.

Yeah, I am, kind of. I like to think about foods, read about foods, watch TV about foods, cook foods...Luckily, I like to cook more than eat. Especially when it comes to baking, I love to bake but don't really care to eat sweets.
Excuse me, I had to go and get a cookie before I wrote a response. i just made these deliciuos rum balls and they were on the counter waiting to be eaten.

Food is a great thing to obsess about. Everyone has to eat, most food tastes great, and food brings out the creative side of people. Baking is my favorite thing. The end results are just too rewarding! Too many recipes, too little time, right?!
There's nothing wrong with being "obsessed" with food, as long as you are healthy, and don't eat it all!
I love to cook and bake, but if I do, I tend to eat it! (and I don't want me or my family to gain any weight!! We;ve been trying to get in shape---and it's worked!)
If you can, donate your cookin endeavors to those less fortunate than you! They'll love it! And you'll have fun doing it!
Foodies have always perplexed me. I could care less about food until suddenly I get hungry and then I eat something. After that I forget about food until next time I get hungry.
My husband lives to eat. He's a big guy, over 6 feet. For more than 20 years I've had to keep him fed and it has been an ongoing headache. I'm amazed at how much food he eats every day and how much he thinks about what and when to eat next.
The good thing is that no matter what I cook he'll eat it. He eats things I've cooked that are so terrible even I won't eat them. Never complains--unless there is no supper at all. Then he's really grumpy.
Food, food, food. I have never understood the appeal.
