I stayed away from Quiznos for years because of that stupid commercial with the singing rats. That was terrible advertisement. After I finally tried it, I prefer Quiznos to Subway. I like the meat and condiment selection better and I feel like I'm eating a sandwich with meat instead of just bread, like I do at Subway. Though, as someone else mentioned, Schlotsky's is pretty good too.
Of the two, I prefer Quizno's, although I only eat there maybe once a year if that!! I have only had the Tuscan Turkey sandwich -- I like the roasted red pepper spread. Their sandwiches seem a bit more "upscale" with the ingredients than Subway.
Schlotsky's rules though!! Wish I ate there more often
I've never had a good sandwich at Subway's, and never had a bad sandwich at Quizno's. Love their Classic Italian on wheat (hold the olives please).
If you're ever in Jacksonville, there are two franchises that started here that are growing; Larry's Giant Subs, and Firehouse Subs. Both, in my opinion are better than Subway.
Can't beat Firehouse Subs. What an incredible place to eat!
Now that the kids are no longer living at home, I doubt I'll ever eat a Subway or a Quizno. I went there more out of convenience of not having to cook than really liking their food. I'm not that much of a bread eater.
I'm just the opposite of Parker. Never had anything bad at Subway and nothing good at Quizno's. And I like the toasted subs because I like my cheese melted.

Funny how things like this happen. I have a friend who says the same thing you do.
