Default Your Favorite (Non-Chain) Restaurant Menus

Southdown's road trip has got me thinking it would be fun to post menus of your town's best restaurants. I don't know about you all, but as a foodie, I LOVE reading cookbooks, menus, and blogs.

Here are some of the restaurants I love in my hometown of Grand Rapids, MI:

Vitale's Italian Restaurant (http://www.theoriginalvitales.com/menu.htm - broken link) (Italian)

And here in Denver:

Osteria Marco: Larimer Square, Denver CO. (Italian/Pizza)

Osakasushi - The Japanese Cuisine in Denver (Sushi)

Sushi Hai | Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar (Sushi)

Dinner Menu (http://www.jaxfishhousedenver.com/Menus/DinnerMenu/tabid/252/Default.aspx - broken link) (Seafood)

Wynkoop Brewing Company - Denver's First Brew Pub - Banquets (http://www.wynkoop.com/tastes_dinner.html - broken link) (Brewery)

Patzcuaro's Menu page one (Mexican)

Of course, there are many more but these are some of our "regulars." Enjoy!!!

Well these are probably not the town's best restaurants, but they are my favorites

Anita's New Mexico Style Mexican Food Anita's has a few locations in the area but I wouldn't call them a chain. I remember back in the mid 70's when we saw a mexican restaurant newly opened in an old eight stool and counter Doughnut Dinet building in Vienna VA. We went in and met this small woman who was busy with last minute details. She had bouffant blond hair and a very thick hispanic accent. She corrected us saying that this was "not ground beef, tortilla and cheese Tex-Mex" This was "New Mexico style food" which is a style I have come to love, rich with sauces and peppers.

Rocco’s Italian Restaurant – Mc Lean, VA Great food and friendly atmosphere. Yeasty crust brick oven pizza's. This is the kind of place where one might find a softball team enjoying a meal after a summertime game. Fun for families.
