I try to limit soda, but I like it. I drink diet soda usually.

You can't order water in a restaurant around here.. our tap water is really really awful!

Drinking in restaurants has become an issue for me! lol I don't drink regular soda because it all has HFCS in is, and most restaurants don't carry sugar-soda, I don't drink diet because it's full of other types of chemicals. If they don't have a liquor license, I can't get a beer, if the water is gross, I can't just get water...

I can't find the NY Times article I believe it was in but they were talking about the obesity problem and the high consumption of soda. They referred to it as a "fat" tax as well. They also passed a law in the same article about now NY restaurant's menus must have the calories listed beside each food item.

They feel the need for the excessive liquid because of the ridiculous amount of salt they are consuming salt makes you thirsty....
