that hamdog thing looks and sounds sooooooo gross.

while the website is pretty cool, it does underscore how wasteful industrialized nations are (yep, enter Debbie Downer).

that said, the pizza vending machine reminded me of one they have @ the National Zoo:

LOL the first one is a GARBAGE PLATE...... I live in Rochester NY... the home of the Garbage Plate... they are not disgusting at all... they are amazing and a Rochester Staple... don't knock it 'til you try it! Really!!!!! I am not fat... I don't eat that stuff but once in maybe every six months... maybe a year... (even IF that) and I am not large or unhealthy. I don't have any cholesterol issues or high blood pressure.... in fact I eat very low fat on a regular basis and never eat red meat.... BUT... a good GARBAGE PLATE at times.... can't be passed up.... anyone who has been to Rochester will tell you that. Sorry.... BTW that isn't what a garbage plate is.... THIS is what the Garbage Plate is.... (the list under the pic is a total exaggeration of the garbage plate.... SERIOUS exag.)

This will explain what a real garbage plate is.....

I'm ashamed to say it but I was drooling over that pic.

I've actually tried a deep fried Mars Bar once. I was up in Scotland where the disgusting thing was invented and my friend (who is Scottish) got one from the chippy and made me to try it. I seriously considered throwing it up down her top.

I too, love me a good ole garbage plate! (Thanks for the heads up skbs!!)

Had my first experience with them a few years back as the BF is from Rochester area of NY. I agree that the photo on the "This is Why You're Fat" site does not do it justice at all!!

My preferred garbage plate has fries or salt potatoes, mac salad, white hots or a cheese burger, and that yummy chili sauce along with chopped onions. We make it probably once a year, during Bills games. Mix it all up and YUM-MY!!

There would be absolutely nothing wrong with some of those is used like a pie...Just take a serving at a time...You don't have to eat the whole thing at a single meal...

I went back to check something and saw that I'd missed two pages!
I could use a bacon doughnut right about now.

Not one thing looked appealing to me (I'm not one for bacon).

For some reason, I was imagining the show 'Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives' for this!
