Nomad, I'm worried about you if chocolate doesn't sound good to you. Hope your appetite returns soon!
Elston, that combination as a ham glaze sounds wonderful - I think even the spouse would like that one. Let us know how it comes out if you try it tonight.
Having cowboy stew tonight, with home-made cornbread for dunking. Got the beef simmering with carrots and parsley and picante sauce, and I need to stand up in just a few and add the onions, zucchini and corn to the pot, and get the cornbread going.
Wishing all a peaceful Sunday evening and a wonderful week!
Flat iron black angus was delicious. Baked pot same. On to a HUGE bowl of vanilla ice cream and angel food cake. Nothing tomorrow as scans Tues-so I'm filling now.
I went out to dinner early tonight, went for the very famous in Florida
"Early Bird Special." You know, when all of the elderly people like to eat a 5pm sharp? Yup, there I was right in line. I think I probably didn't stand out as much as I would like to think I had. Although, I wasn't wearing a visor or some big floral blouse with ruffles.
I did have a nice dinner, I don't really mind dining alone. Hell, I'm my own best friend!
Terriaki Chicken, baked potato w/ 1/2 lb of butter and the salad bar.
BWHAHAHAHAHAHA.... perhaps? I'm 50 yrs old, if it hasn't appeared yet I'm pretty sure I was deprived of it! It's all good though, this way I barely have to lift a finger in the kitchen. In fact when I walk into a kitchen everyone screams either "GET OUT!" or "DUCK!" I'm okay with that.
I made pork ribs on the grill. French fries and corn. We had more company today. I am a bit tired of entertaining.... not like me just a little drained. Not to mention it was 92* today. I just want a rest Nothing coffee won't solve in the morning ha ha. Elston I hope your ham turned out devine. My diet is depressing..... cause I cheated..... with a rib I could not resist.... O well tomorrow is another day. I will be satisfied if i lose weight by june 20th. Wish me luck we are on a count down.... bathing suit BLAH!! (right now)
We grilled chicken breasts that were marinated in Carribbean jerk seasoning and had cheddar rice, roasted asparagus with parmesan, and crescent rolls. Very tasty! We are beat from doing yard work all day.
Tonight: chicken and dressing, green beans and salad. A great meal!
Have a good week, everyone!
