Tonight is left-over dinner from last night. We start our vacation early tomorrow morning and we have to be on the road at around 5am so I won't feel like cooking. Today I'll spend the day packing and loading.

Or maybe I'll take a small nap since I hardly got any sleep last night. The people across the street started argueing and then after about 5 minutes of them screaming at eachother a gunshot went off, so we called 911 and the police were outside searching until about 4am with spotlights and headlights shining into my bedroom window. (even with the blinds and curtains it was hard to sleep)

Oh my! That sounds like CA!! Sounds like a vacation is happening about the right time! That's scary!! Wonder what they were looking for?? A gun??
I just have not felt like being in the kitchen much this last week. Maybe cause it's been pretty warm.....
I was thinking bean burritos for dinner tonight but we need some sour cream...maybe we'll run to the little local store and get some. If not it will probably be some kind of pasta. Good old reliable pasta! Ha! I'll make a salad and have some fresh baked bread or garlic toast with it. Either way it will be quick and easy with little clean-up and that is my kind of dinner lately!

I'm not sure if they were looking for a gun or a shell casing or a bullet. They were out there pacing the street with flashlights as well as lighting up the neighborhood with their headlights and spotlights. Yeah after last night the drive to Oregon with the two dogs will seem like a real get-a-way lol. It's not something that usually happens in my neighborhood, usually they just scream at eachother for about 15 minutes and then go inside. We don't normally get gunshots in my neighborhood, but there is a first time for everything I guess.
