This news should make you both feel a little better. Sometimes you need to hear something positive. As they say "the mind is a terrible thing" and in our mind it's always negative thoughts. Just human nature.
So here's some good thoughts coming your way

At some point in the day we will dye easter eggs!

Some of the "guests" havent been to our house since we had the rooms painted and my youngest son's lady friend just bought a RV adn they may come over in that. It should be a day filled fun.
Elston, that sounds like tons of fun. Four generations, huh? That's great. So that'd be you, your children, your grandchildren and ????

My maternal grandmother managed to meet her great-great-granddaughter, so we had 5 generations in our family for a while.

I second that, Lacey.

Not sure what's for dinner tonight. I'm leaning towards a roast beast on the rotisserie. That way, DH does the cooking!

All this talk of tri-tips etc. got me looking. Local market had something called sirloin tip steak, each piece about the size of 2 playing cards and ~ 1/4" thick. I plan on slicing into strips and giving a quick saute with onions and red bell pepper. If it doesn't become something good I guess I'll have onions and peppers to put on my Cheerios in the morning.

Lacey, I am so glad that you and Mr. L have received some positive news. Prayers do work wonders. You are in my daily thoughts my dear friend.:

Elston, what a lovely Easter Saturday, have a wonderful fun food day.

Hubby on the mid-shift today Dinner is at 3:00 pm EST I really do hate this shift I made a pan of baked ziti with h/m meatballs, lots of Ricotta & Mozzerella. Later this evening I will have salad and bread. I have already had chicken from the other night, potato salad, tomato & spinach salad and I just finished a meatball and I am on my second glass of Pellegrino with fresh lemon.

I spoke with the meat specialist today & I will be picking up a 7 lb Spiral semi-boneless ham tomorrow for Easter, Rack of Lamb that he is going to French and Lobster Tails that Elston sent down from Maine.
Fresh steamed asparagus, another vegetable to be determined at the market tomorrow, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes with buttered, browned shallots, sweet potato souffle, & spring salad, fresh rolls & butter. My dinner guests have warned me already today to "stay away from the bakery dept." they are bringing dessert.

Have a great afternoon everyone, enjoy your dinners tonight. kelsie

That would be my grand daughter, two of my three sons and spouses, us and the other set of grandparents and the maternal great-grandmother.

Wow, that's great, Elston. I'm sure it'll be very nice. Now, if you'd like to adopt me as an "aunt" for your kids, well, my fork and I are ready to travel!

It's so nice to read about every one's family gatherings! I hope that it is a tradition that will never go out of style!

I just retrieved the 7 pound bird from its brining liquid. I wanted it to dry out a little before I tossed it in the oven. The local grocery store had oven roasters on sale I can always take the leftovers and made a big kitchen sink salad for dinner tomorrow night.

I think I will bake sweet potatoes too and maybe steam some of the asparagus that has been eyeing me now for a few days.

Kelsie, What time should I be there. You know it will take me a few hours of flying time. Oh, and don't worry about having enough lamb, I don't care for it. But everything else, especially Maine Lobster, I'm in
