George---the way you posted to hard boil eggs is wonderful! They turned out perfect and peeled easily. Such a bright orange/yellow yolks that made up lovely deviled eggs! Yum!! Thanks for the idea. Nearly done with the weeding on my rose garden. Want to finish before it gets any hotter as it's already 81 degrees. I'm lovin' it!

Good Morning/Afternoon everyone. Haven't cooked very much and when I did, I had leftovers which seemed like I was eating forever. BTW, I'm really not a leftover eater but better than hospital cafeteria food
So much good food talk here but for now I'll have to read and drool.

Have a great weekend.

I am clueless. tonight the wife is in total control and I will no interfere. Being I got my burger last night I would suspect it will be based on those pork chops. She bought a large package of fresh zucchini so those maybe stir fried with some onion & bacon...Just guessing on that one.

Bella-hospital food is the worst. When Mr. L was in they had soup everyday in the gift shop-I asked them if they were drumming up business for the cardiac unit as it was cheesey bacon cheeseburger, cream of whatever, ham/scalloped potato. Nothing healthy-so I resorted to yogurt. The thing that saved me was having small portions in the freezer of leftovers or having eggs.

Does your local market have "to go" prepared meals?

Smells comforting here-chicken stew in oven loaded with carrots, celery, onion, red peppers, pearl onions, peas, tarragon, mushrooms.

Just remembered that DD and I are goig to a potluck at the stable where we keep our horse. I made a couple of fresh straberry pies. So, I probably won't be cooking dinner tonight. I still have to figure out food for DH, though.

Hi Everyone, what a beautiful day in E. Carolina mid 80's and sunny.

Last night we went out with friends to the Oyster Bar, beer and baked oysters with bacon and blue cheese. How delicious. The owner put something new on the menu and we were asked to sample.. Blackened Grouper with corn, tomato relish. Yummy.

Hubby is prepping the fireplace today, what a mess. He just got done taking the tile floor up and he will be replacing that with slate to match the colors of the stone fireplace. So I have to make something special tonight. I know that I am making Mussels in red gravy, picked up crusty French bread this morning and we will have a Spring salad. I might make some boneless pork chops, just not sure yet.

elston, I thought of you when I was looking at the leg of lamb this morning, all from the U.S. How did your lamb turn out the other night.

I hope all are doing well this Saturday. I will check back later. kelsie

Chow, what is Saltado de Pollo?

I'm sitting here, enjoying the aroma of the Balsamic marinated Turkey Tenderloin in the oven. Smells sooooo good in here! Along with that, we're trying another of DH's new recipes - a barley salad, and there's some spaghetti squash in the oven, staying nice and warm in its bath of butter, S&P, onion and garlic powders. For special interest, there's fresh sliced tomato (which, to rub it in, I picked 5 minutes ago), fresh English cuke and green olives. Cocktails include margarita for me, screwdriver (with Ketel One vodka) for DH.

Chat with y'all later.
