Our blackberry pork chops were superb We'll have them again tomorrow, then go to my cousins for dinner on Friday. Saturday is Indian buffet day so that's usually a pick-around night. Sunday I'm at my mom's (she's making flank steak - I hope with baked yams). Monday will be spaghetti - that means 1 or 2 other nights will be spaghetti too - hooray!

We ended up ordering Chinese/Thai delivery because boyfriend and I got home late...he had jury duty all day and I had to sit through our school's graduation.

Anyway, we chowed on thai spring rolls with peanut sauce, crab rangoons, sesame chicken, and spicy shrimp with bok choy, bamboo shoots, and basil. Red stripe beers too. Still uncomfortably full.

Checking in to say a quick hello to all. No energy for a long post tonight. It's been a helluva week already, and it's only Wednesday.

Think I still owe a report on last night: that was snappy lemon chicken on the grill with jalapeno cheese grits and spinach with ramps.

Tonight was leftover lentil-rice soup. Likely the same tomorrow.

Back to the overloaded email inbox, the packing lists and all the rest.... see you probably next week.

MWBW I don't know how you do all the extra stuff with the extra hours your jobs takes. Hope you can get some rest soon.
kats I am with you on eating someone else's cooking but would like it at their house not a restaurant.

noid_1985 welcome to the dinner table!

kimba be careful if you think you have C02 do get it checked out quickly especially with those new babies in the house. Feel better soon dear.

Have had a couple of requests to post this recipe in our dinner thread so enjoy foodies they are yummy.

Pecan Pie Muffins
2 c. Brown sugar, packed
1 c. Flour
2 c. Pecans, chopped
1 1/3 c. butter, melted
4 lg Eggs, beaten

Combine brown sugar, flour & pecans; set aside.
Combine butter & eggs; mix well. Stir in flour mixture until moistened.
Fill mini muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake 350º for 15-20 minutes or until done.
Remove from pans & cool on wire racks.

If you don't remove them from the pan they get cement hard once the sugar cools. These were a blue ribbon & state fair entry winner at our county fair for my DD. Enjoy~

Tonight we were in town doing a bunch of errands that were only 2 when we left home. Anyway on our way home I swooped into Arbys for supper. Didn't try that new roast beef burger that is what I had intended on trying. Just didn't float my boat when I saw the picture of it.

Rest well friends see ya tomorrow.

Good morning fellow foodies.

I was such an early bird (3:30) so I made a nice big mac salad for tonight and we'll have bar-b-cue's boneless chicken thighs (Sweet Baby Rays of course).

Oh my Lacey, that is early! I was awake at 4:30 but decided if the sun wasn't up I surely wasn't going to get up either so fell back to sleep for another hour.
I think I am making a brocolli noodle casserole tonight. Sounds easy and it's still cool enoough to bake.

I was sleeping till DH called at 6:05 this morning. Oh, well. He'll be home in less than a week.

Cyn, that brocolli noodle stuff sounds good.

Tonight it's dinner at the neighbors' - 'sketti and meatballs. I've been dying for Italian. Hope it's good.
