Happy Birthday Lacey!!!! Best wishes for many, many more!! Enjoy your day~

Tonight's going to be leftovers... some of my pesto pasta w/ olives and chicken, a chicken thigh that was done in the salsa, and some rice. Satisfying!

YLisa I know I love exploring Amish stores.

Has anybody ever had fried radishes????? On another list I am on they are talking about them being a common southern thing. Need to go see if I have any in the veggie drawer to try I have never heard of them.

Never heard of such and ya can't get much more southern than I am. My dear late MIL ate radish sandwiches with fresh ones but never fried one. Here folks were from the days of when free range beef meant now one built a fence. Cattle roamed the state free. Sorted by brand at roundup time.

Hey thanx friends.

Lancaster,PA had a huge Amish store and the meat is beautiful.

Dinner here is cooking away-black bean chili w/cheese,sour cream, salsa, cornbread for Mr. L. Think I tweaked his appetite a little with that suggestion.

My beauties in NJ sent a huge vase of calla lillies and pearls-just gorgeous.

Never had a fried radish.

We love radishes at our house. You know what's good but I don't do often cause who needs the extra fat.. is fresh raw radishes served with softened butter and kosher salt. Got the idea from a cookbook, Greene on Greens.

I believe radishes sauteed in butter are fairly common in French cooking as well, pretty tasty and a nice change of pace.

Thanks Cyn for letting us know,

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY LACEY, MY FRIEND

I am with Jaxson on this one, another birthday or the alternative.

I was born on Friday th 13th, full moon. I celebrate each & every birthday reflecting on how much more I have learned the previous year. It always amazes me how much we learn every day that we didn't know the day before. It is a warm place like this with wonderful friends to share our thoughts, fears, accomplishments, hugs, food and love, and always have a warm arm placed upon our shoulder. So glass of Pelligrino raised high, I give to you birthday girl, a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY and a BIGGER HUG! shhh and some black beans & rice
