They always used to have them at the cash registers in Mexican restaurants along with prallines and Chiclets. I never tried one, because the color always turned me off. I haven't thought about them in years, and I don't know if they sell them here or not. I'll have to pay attention and see if they are around.
They are Popular and very common in Texas. They are practically non existant on the East Coast, even Georgia.
They are Very Sweet.
When I was in Texas lst month, I got one in a convenience store and scarfed it down as soon as I got out the door. My son having peanut allergies, I did not want to eat it in the car around him, or at the hotel room, and having had such a fondness for them since childhood, I am unable to eat one slowly anyways............

Wow! That looks AWESOME, I would totally eat one, and not share any. But, alas, they don't sell them here...have never seen one for sale. So, I will have to stick with my Salted Nut Roll, for my peanut fix. Not even close to the look of that delicious pattie...Now, where is that Salted Nut Roll...did my brat son take it....he is grounded....
