Hormone free, organic skim milk is totally different from the usual. It's much creamier. I recommend it for those of you who want to go skim but don't like the blue stuff!
I drink a cup of soy milk every morning with my vitamins, alternating between vanilla and chocolate every week, but I like skim milk on my cereal. If I buy milk at Meijer, though, I get 1/2% because my husband thinks it's better. The two younger kids get 1% for their cereal, and the oldest gets plain soy milk for her cereal, because cow's milk gives her a stomachache. We go through 3 to 4 gallons of cow's milk and 2 half-gallons of soy milk a week.

--It's much creamier--
Impossible !
--" cream" -- is a higher butterfat content milk.
Every milk that is classified as whole, 2%, 1%, or skim is classified based on butterfat percent.
You may believe that organic skim milk is --much creamier-- but that is not factual.
Organic processing plants don't give away butterfat free and label it as skim milk.
1%..... plain for me, lactose free for DH and DS. We pretty much only use it for cereal, cooking or if we happen to have cookies around (not that often). We probable go through a gallon of the lactose free and a quart of the regular per week.
I'm guessing she means that it TASTES and appears better, ie "creamier".
That's right.
It tastes and feels creamier in my mouth than typical skim milk tastes and feels...to me...in my opinion...based on no scientific studies. I'd explain further but must dash - need to consult with my attorney since I'm being sued for trying to be helpful. Considering a counter suit of quibbling while nitpicking...
I originally purchased 2% milk because of the lower fat content. I reserved whole milk for special occasions. But I have actually come to prefer 2% for drinking.
For coffee I normally use half and half but would prefer what was once called coffee cream. I haven't seen it in years. I've tried whipping cream; but it's just too rich for my taste. However, a 50 - 50 mix of whipping cream and half and half is excellent. But it's for Christmas and similar times.

i used to think skim milk was horrible and all i drank was whole ans 2%...but skim is lower in practically everything and now i love it....although i do love 2 and 1%
