Where does granola stand on the healthy food scale? (expensive, buy, whole grain)

Not the bars, but the kind you buy in the bulk bin. Curious to get some opinions here.

It's great on fiber and B vitamins, even antioxidants if there's enough dried fruit in it, but it's radically oversweetened.

bear naked makes really good granola..it's a little expensive but definitely worth it

Way too much sugar, in general. But if it's the only way to get fiber and dried fruit in your diet, it's ok in small amounts.

Mix it with unsweetened corn or bran flakes to cut the sugar.
