Does anyone else occasionally salt their fruit?
I got this from my mom. She loves really green or sour fruit and then eats it with salt! We used to eat lemons with salt until it started to erode our teeth enamel! But sometimes I put salt on watermelon, apples, pears, etc.
Anyone else do this or am I "insano"?

Growing up my mom would put salt on cantaloupe and watermelon as well as apples. I don't know why she did but it did taste good.
No you aren't insano. I loved salt growing up but have cut way back on it now. But on a rare occasion I will put a little salt on my watermelon or cantaloupe.

I used to put salt on my cantaloupe but I have cut back on the salt. I've never had it on watermelon.
I also like it on a banana but only if I spread peanut butter on the banana.

My aunt puts it on watermelon. Personally, I prefer fresh whipped cream on fruit, lots of it.

I've only ever had it on watermelon. Thought it sounded so weird but it really does perk it up! This does not mean you aren't still insano, ya know

Yes I grew up putting it on many types of fruit though apple was by far the most common. Nothing strange about it.

My grandmother used to salt her watermelon and cantaloupes. I never developed a taste for that, and now at age 53, I'm glad I didn't.
