Just some cold-cuts, cheese, tapenade, bread, and wine tonight. I have short-ribs simmering on the stove and I know they're gonna be much better tomorrow night

I'm telling you I have never seen rain and lightening and thunder like it has been here the last two days and it looks like we're in for more for the next few days!! Oh my!! I think I am growing gills!!!!
We have taken friends 3 flats with 18 huge tomatoes in each flat the last 3 days and I still have a good dozen left on my counter with more on my bushes. I think they like the rain!!
Wow, Cyn, that's some kinda rain! We could use some, but not that much all at once!

Well, happy b'day, Mr. S! Enjoy your dinner out(back).

We had mustard/brown sugar glazed baked ham w/baked sweet taters and creamed corn. Quite good. I may have to make some of my world famous lentil soup with the bone. We shall see.

Have a great evening, all.

Oh, BTW, the cabinets will be installed tomorrow!

I had rice-a-roni with a dice pork chop in it, fresh tomato, and a big bowl of fresh mixed fruit. Still have cookies and cream ice cream for later.

HL glad your onion rings turned out great for ya! We have to watch our fried foods too but it seems we still eat a lot of them.

skbs I hope your DH sticks with his healthier lifestyle also but it is tough losing weight as many of us can agree. You supporting him is a huge boost!

It is starting to get "all about the garden" at our house lately either picking, canning or eating. Tonight for supper we had green beans, cukes, baked butternut squash and used tomatoes on top of our hamburgers.

We had BBQ shredded pork sammies! With a salad. For dessert Cookies and Cream ice cream with spanish peanuts and a little chocolate drizzled on it. It was very good except I think I like the pork better without the BBQ sauce. It was a bit too sweet for me. Good thing I didn't put it in all of the pork!!!

Have a great slumber, foodies!
