either deer or smoked pheasant, here. I've got to get some of the game used, hunting season will be here, again soon. We did find a butcher shop that makes awesome deer bacon, and ring bologna, so deer meat is a fast fix meal.....add a can of kraut, or some fried cabbage.....

Best wishes, HighlandGal! May your marriage be as happy as you are right now!

I've been "away" for a few days - cases had to be done. I hate it when attys don't get records to me until 1 week before the statute of limitations runs!

For supper tonight, the Ol' Curmudgeon made his Weird Chicken. I can't begin to describe it, but it involved boneless, skinless chicken breasts, broccoli, mushrooms, & rice. I'm not sure what he does to it, but it's lovely!

Simple baked chicken breasts, and a quinoa-broccoli-cheese casserole.

I discovered quinoa for the first time cooking yesterday...it's really good!

I've got pork loin chops marinating in Italian dressing w/basil and parm. I think I'm going to throw them on the grill. Something done with red potatoes and maybe corn on the cob.

Now, what to do with the potatoes.................... any suggestions?

Dinner was braised beef short-ribs, polenta, and cipollini onions roasted in a honey/balsamic/wine/thyme syrup, and a nice Pinot Noir.

After a little settlin' time there's homemade chocolate sorbet for dessert.

I'm a very contented carnivore right now

I decided to boil my potatoes" in their jackets" in with the corn...and then quarter them and slather them with butter and fresh chopped parsley. to go with spare ribs cooked over charcoal with a zuke au natural cooked over charcoal.

I don't think that I boil my corn long enough to put the potatoes in with it. I like to put my corn in a large pot of water, bring it to a boil, cover and turn off the heat. Let it sit for 20 minutes and its' done but has a snap to it.

DD change the plans. Herb noodles and the corn.
