I will be back on the 14th, but will be taking the laptop with me. I will be posting about what I am eating. I am planning on going to some really great restaurants and wineries, so I will share what is going on in St Louis! You know I plan trips around food!

I spray them with the olive oil spray in a can and then I add seasonings, depending on what I'm serving them with. Sometimes I buy that lemon seasoning in the spice area in the supermarket.. it comes in a glass shaker like salt... but mostly, I season with fresh cracked black pepper, a tish of salt, and then italian seasoning, or rosemary, or basil, etc...

I simply grill them for about 10 minutes per side over a low flame, til they're just soft, turning once while cooking.

What I love about these besides the flavors being incredible is, they don't end up all mushy like when you boil or steam them.

Enjoy!
This is similar to how I do the yellowneck. Not sure why but the flavor seems to stay in when cooked this way. I love it. I haven't sliced them and used the olive oil but I am going to give that a try. Thanks for shaing it sounds great!!

I have friends coming from Down East Maine to where I am in Belfast (about an hour away). We're headed into town for some shopping and we're talking about dinner at the Thai restaurant on the harbor. Sounds good to me!

It's pea soup tonight. Yesterday, the grocery store had gorgeous hams for $.99 a pound, so we had ham, scalloped potatoes, and fresh corn last night. Now, the big old ham bone is happily simmering on the stove awaiting the peas. Corn bread in the freezer. Easy breezy.

Ooh la la, last night's tomato-basil-sugar snap pea pasta was soooo good with our baked chicken. I shredded up some chicken and put it on pasta for DH's lunch. I'm sure he'll leave most of the vegetables in the bottom of the container. Hope he hides the evidence before I come home.

Tonight for dinner DH is grilling us some burgers! Yum. Will serve sugar snap peas and carrot sticks as a side -- with some ranch dip.

I have had such a busy weekend! I came on and there is so much to catch up on! Oh my! The weather we have had has been so amazing we are so lucky but it draws me away from you all here on CD! The plus and minus of Summer.... I hope everyone is enjoying it as much as me... My girls are in their glory! I am just glad to see the sun finally... but I hear we are bound to get some raindrops again later this afternoon....

Last night I made some porkchops with gravy..... waxed beans-- fresh ones with garlic, parsley and evoo, s & P... had a huge zuchinni I slice thin with balsamic vin and evoo, s&p.... rice... simply delicious and hubby liked it. The kids force fed themselves so they could get some vanilla pudding in their bellies... oh well.

Burned the HECK out of my arm though- think I might have given myself a doosey of a scar! I was pulling the pork chips out but instead of standing DIRECTLY in front of the oven I stood at the side of the stove and grazed the side of the inside of the oven!!!!!! OUCH!!!! Not the best decision I have ever made.... now I might have a reminder..... oops....

Tonight I am thinking I might make some pasta.... but that might change.... who knows. I have to take Tink to the vet and if I get tied up... well.... who knows?
