While I sat here minding my own business posting Murphy came in the back door. No linguine tonight. Using some leftover cooked red potatoes and brussels sprouts to go with the pork chops. I think I have to get a barstool and move computer to kitchen to keep him at bay. Schemes of Mice and Men are destroyed by Murphy.

I stopped by and picked up some shrimp. They had it on sale, and we haven`t had it in awhile.

Doctored a bottled sauce and had farfalle tonight with fresh grated asiago. Missed my guy's garlic bread, though.

Can't blame ya there, Lacey.

I baked the soy sauced chicken and we took all the veggies we had in the fridge and made a big ol' stir fry. We also had fresh cuke and olives. Oh, me oh my, it was sssooooo good. The stir fry included several types of peppers (green and red, slightly hot and mild), carrots, snap peas, water chestnuts, broccoli, green onions, shallots, garlic, ginger, and bean sprouts. DH made up a sauce and it was just oh, so good.

Have a good night, all.

HG congrats on setting the wedding date your posts are over flowing with excitement! You will indeed need to rest once you get home.

elston thanks for the carrot warning. Folks have become so lazy about preparing foods then we all wonder why cancers and such are wide spread eating processed foods.

Howdy foodies today has been a lazy day around here we all needed it. So we did end up eating leftovers for supper. What fine leftovers we had to choose from too.

Hi all. Good dinners here as usual.

Jaxson- Thanks for the warm welcome back.

Lacey- I hope all is well with Mr. L.

HG-Congrats on the date. Woo hoo.

bjh- Good old fashioned comfort food. Yum. Speaking of Chicken and Dumplings, Elston how did your turn out the other night?

Kat- Yum. I used to love sloppy joes. I haven't had them in forever. They were always good with tater tots.

We are back from taking our 5 year old granddaughter out to Claire's, Walden's books, and Chinese. All of her favorites. I was very impressed by her shopping abilities, lol. God help her future husband. Seriously she was very well behaved but my DH told her she could buy anything in the store that she wanted. We are talking a 10 minute power/marathon shopper. I swear she could win one of those shopping races, lol. That little girl flew through the store got what she wanted and said to us I'm done. Wow.

Then we went to the bookstore and she got a diary with a little lock. After that it was off to Chinese. I had General Tso's chicken, DG had sweet and sour chicken, oranges, and fresh donuts, and DH had chicken chow mein.

We had a wonderful time with our granddaughter. It was just the way we like it. Short and sweet, lol.
