Glad to see you kshe and sorry to hear about your FIL.

Seeing as how I have company coming on Friday and I am working tonight and Thurs night I started a big pot of sauce this morning. Meatballs and sausage added to the sauce, this will be dinner Fri. As far as dinner tonight, hubby is on his own!

I have a pork roast slowly simmering in orange juice/water with cinnamon stick, bay leaves and garlic...going to let it go slow for several hours.....and then uncover and continue to slow cook till the liquid is gone and the meat browns in its own unctuous fat.

Eeek! So many posts. LOL I will catch up one day.

We are going to spend the day at the pool, but I'm making chicken tikka masala for dinner tonight. It's super easy and really delicious. I'll serve it with grilled veggies and basmati rice.

G'morning foodies!

Have no idea what to do for dinner tonight. The girls are leaving today and I am so sad...I was thinking drinks after they leave but really...drinks can be a downer so I may have to revamp that idea.

Yesterday, they made what they wanted. Chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, ramen...all that not-so-good for you food! I had some pizza rolls. Blah.

Have a great day!!!!

Hi foodies hope you have sunshine where you are because we don't.

Nomad I first thought the same thing on Lacey's chicken.

skbs I didn't comment on your beef dinner yesterday because I was still laughing about the baby #3 idea. You know you are so busy in every direction but I hear in your posts a lot of life. What blessings you have in your family and friends! I am always pround of you girlie!

gentlearts I suppose I am not at the quiet time in my life I miss the dickens out of my noisy kids when they are gone for a night. I kind of dread when this ole house gets quiet in a few more years. Glad you had fun with your grands.

MTH a friend of ours was talking to her nephew on IM from Irag this morning it was 115º today which is down from 122º yesterday.

rickers we use to go to wild hog roasts when I lived in FL pretty goood.

CW glad your chicken francaise was a hit now you can add that to your meal rotation.

HG glad you made it home safe & sound now rest up from your vacation!

Denise poor hubby can he survive on his own?

elston now you have my mouth watering for pork! That flips my trigger more than steaks, chicken or other meats.

Heading to the Y to go swim we are having taco salad for supper tonight. Hope ya all are having a terrific day!

Hi Kshe -I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL. When my x-FIL died, I couldn't go to the funeral because it would have upset my XH and I didn't want to intrude on his grief. So I stayed home and just cried.

Glad you are back, and hope you have some good support for you and your DH.
