Wowza elston!! I want some of that lobster gazpacho too!

We are all by our lonesome this holiday weekend. Bf has to work on Sunday so our plans to go up to friends in Ft. Collins for the 4th won't work. Family is in NY or MI, but we'll make do! Tonight we are going to the Rockies game and dinner will most likely be a hot dog or brat and some beers. Tomorrow I think we are just hanging around and smoking some ribs and I'll make some salads (fruit, veggie, pasta) to go with them.

Last night's pork turned out a little dry (must have left it in the crock pot too long) but the marinade I cooked it in made for a delicious gravy. We had mashed red skinned potatoes and sauteed yellow squash and zucchini with it.

Relax and enjoy each other HG.

Elston as always-fantastic.

Lisa do you have a processor-then you could also do the pesto in that.

Not much going on here-just brought Mr. L home and just hoping this time lasts longer than the last time. He wants bland.

I hope so too Lacey. Mr. L and you both deserve a break here. How is he feeling and what did his Dr.s finally end up saying was wrong...if I missed it and you already told us I am sorry--still trying to catch up here.

Cyn it's still the Crohn's and abcess breaking thru the stomach. It'll be quite awhile before he regains any strength or appetite. I will be pulling my hair out by Sun as he is a tough patient with no patience.

Good afternoon.

Dinner will be chicken cutlets, leftover potato salad, and carrots.

Since, DH is on vacation next week, I'm not sure how often I'll be around here. I know he mentioned he didn't want me to be cooking dinners....he said, "You should be on vacation too!" What a man! I guess I should call a cleaning lady too. LOL

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy 4th.

I'm also behind and can't catch up. But, I hope Mr. Lacey has a better weekend.

I think tonight's dinner will be all veggies. I just broke a ton of half runner beans and I'm completely addicted to grilled squash and zuch. I also want to throw some tomatoes, onions and cucumbers into a bit of vinegar. Tomorrow we are invited to 4th party and I'm looking forward to the fireworks and parades. Fingers crossed for no rain!

Now I just need to gather my gang and herd them out of the house before I lose what is left of my mind.

There has been a pork roast in the crock pot all day. The rest is speculation right now.
