LOL. Same thing today! grrr! At least it's nice enough to open all the windows.
For today, mashed potatoes again, with grilled bratwursts.
(I don't want to prepare anything fancy today. I just had a flat tire and I was jumping over the handle of the jack just to loosen the lugnuts and I'm exhausted! LOL)
Ahhh, I'm sorry. That doesn't sound one bit like fun! Relax tongiht!! Sounds like you need it.
I changed my mind and am having onion chicken tonight. Still will have mashed potatoes and some green beans with sliced tomatoes and cut up watermelon.
I'm just to wore out to grill after going out with my mom shopping. That sirloin will have to be happy in a skillet with lots of onions. I think there is plenty for tonight's supper and some left for a night of stroganoff. One veggie will be slice tomatoes and I believe mashed taters are in the plan too.
I made risotto tonight for dinner. I've never made it before (unless you count something like Rice-a-Roni! Which I'm sure nobody does. ) Bought a HUGE container of arborio rice on a whim -- the risotto recipe on the back seemed easy enough. It was really delicious. Now I'm on the hunt to find other risotto recipes.
I ate it with my good-ol' standby: Steamed green beans with toasted slivered almonds.
The Ol' Curmudgeon made a tossed-together "thing" of boneless-skinless chickie breasts, fresh tomatoes, onions, butter, olive oil and a couple of ingredients I can't remember. Not to mention Parmesan Reggiano. Yum! Then he made some brownies for dessert.
