One of summer's simple pleasures tonight, a BLT.

Brownies sound soooo good right now!

Then again, BLTs are my fav!!

Thought I took chicken breasts out, but since they were wrapped in foil instead of a freezer bag~surprise! boneless pork chops again! Dang! So, I had to improvise and bread them and panfry them, with rice pilaf and corn. All in all not bad considering I did not expect that!

Ice cream sundaes for dessert, after dinner settles and I go for a swim!

Another southern special: chicken fried steak. It occurred to me, "isn't this a deep fried hamburger patty?"

Green beens, baked potato, Texas toast. Chocolate cake for those with room for it.

Well the chicken came out pretty tasty! Done up on the grill... and the eggplant and zucchini.... then I had some left over baked beans and corn... brussel sprouts in butter... chicken flavored Uncle Bens 90 sec nuker rice... Watermelon... it was a feast!

Then we got the kids on their bikes and the dogs on the leashes and headed out for a good long walk! Diva is trying her hardest to learn to ride that two wheeler but the training wheels have made their way back on. Chatterbox saw this and now is bound and determined to WIN! She told us that she will learn to ride her bike before DIVA but Not to tell her.... we will see who actually learns first. It is anyone's game at this point. CB is really motivated and Diva is kinda bein' a bit of a drama queen about fallin' off the bike.... we shall see!

cyn how about leaving a sack of them hooked onto your mailbox for your carrier? Are you on a rural route where they drive to the mailboxes? My mailman loves when I leave him goodies. How about blanching them to removed the skins then cook them down to make pasta sauce/gravy you could freeze?

YLisa glad you got an alls clear at the doc maybe that will give Mike a hint that veggies aren't all that bad.

skbs I was laughing so hard leaving my rep comment to you.

MTH come up to Indiana I will give you plenty of real farm stuff to take care of.

SXMGirl your peach cobbler reminded me I haven't made a peach anything in quite awhile now thanks.

kimba I have never gotten anything from Craig's List the closest to me is down in Indy,

I grilled chicken breasts tonight for supper plus made steamed cauliflower, sauted green beans and it was really good. Made my big bowl of caesar salad so cleaned all those veggies after supper. We forgot about the cantelope we were going to eat for dessert.
