Ahhhh Nomad--you now sound like me! Eat what sounds good and don't worry. Not every night has to be all of the food gorups. After all we are adults here!! Ha! If it were only me here I'd have a bowl of cold cereal a lot of the time! You do much better then I would my friend! The ONLY reason I prepare and eat complete meals is because of my DH!!
Good thing he is here I guess----I went and bought some new levis today and they are a size 4! It's been years since I wore a 4!! And I have been being good and eating!

Wow 4! Good girl! Spoke to the youngest-she called and we had a blast. No dinner here as prep is almost over-so I never ate in solidarity.

I just came across a hunk of coconut cake as the finisher for the fruit salad. I can ride out the night on that. Somewhere in the hollow of my mind there is a little notion of doing a big pork roast on the grill. Either a Boston butt or a leg....if and when I'll decide at the market.

YLisa I loved our coversation about the big girl garden. You are too cute.

skbs enjoy your new flower garden.

cyn I am so glad you were given the time to start the new dinner table thread too. Thanks again SMG!

Kelsie I was reading and pretending I had one of your chicken breasts cooked & cut up on my caesar that I had for supper tonight.

elston I was wondering when the American dishes were going to start flowing again from you.

MTH would your landlord let you paint if you bought the paint? I've had friends that lived in rentals that if they bought the paint and did the labor their landlords let them when he wouldn't buy it.

George dinner & a show sounded great! Some days I do wish we lived closer to a bigger city to enjoy things like that. But if I did I would have to trade off something & I don't know a thing I would give up for it. So I will live and read through all of you going to concerts, shows and places for now.

Mookster be careful letting things jump out at you at the grocery.

HG your ring sounds fabulous congrats again to the both of you!

Glory you need to post these one dish wonders you are inventing for us to see to!

baseballgal welcome to an awesome thread sit and share with us!

NMS hope DH's tummy is feeling better after your nice sounding supper.

Nomad you are our little nut and I don't think any fruit cake could hold a candle to you buddy!

Lacey so did you get Mr. L to do the prep then? I know it is yucky stuff but just doing it so the tests come out clearly is worth it to me so I don't have to repeat any of it.

Kats welcome home we missed you!

Tonight we had a huge caesar salad, with no chicken breast darn it, but I have been craving salads also. Gee do ya think I am having empathy cravings for skbs? We had a bowl of peaches later for dessert I am s-t-u-f-f-e-d still.

Jaxs covered it all so ditto

Baked chicken breast (w/bone and no skin) carrots and potatoes. Usually their boring so I added a packet of dry Good Season Italian dressing, onions, garlic, parsley. Drizzled EVOO and red wine vinegar and baked it all together...........it was really good and tasty. Oh, and we had a side of roasted asparagus too
