I thought the same thing, and I agree about the bacon
Once you add it to something, it is the prominent taste

And the plates are different. Probably expensive

But I love bacon in my yellow squash. Ya don't have to use the whole package when a strip will do.... And collard greens....bacon or a ham hock.... there are a lot of bacon lovers out here. What would a BLT be without the Bacon?....I make BLT salads....cuts some carbs out....and the buggy dishes would not bother me one bit. Just leave my bacon on them.

You know, many times people don't like beans and other vegetables, because they've never enjoyed the flavor of the added bacon in the dish. Pork is my favorite meat and bacon....is King.

Re: OP- I saw some dishes (I wish I could find a pic) that had a simple sketch of the back of a cat walking away, complete with a little dot under the tail... cute on a shirt maybe, but I wouldn't care to eat off them!

Cat butt plates? Ew!

I'm not too keen on the spider plates, though some of the others are pretty. On the other hand, maybe it would be an inspiration not to overeat! I wouldn't want to uncover the spider . . .
Also an excuse to play with my food?

In some countries they actually eat LIVE octopus - and it's dangerous because they can stick to your throat with their suckers. And somewhere in Europe (Spain or Italy i think it was), they eat maggot infested cheese, supposidly it gives the cheese a soft and fluffy texture. Saw it on National Geographic. Absolutely sick!

I'd have to say the "dish" that bugs me the most is the "latte" glass.

Once it's full of hot latte it's impossible to pick up unless you tie a napkin around it, have teflon coated fingers or wait for the coffee to cool down and those stupid metal holders some cafes put the glasses in are even more difficult to manouvre.
